FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to know how to swim for the snorkeling excursion?+
Basic swimming ability is recommended, since you'll be in open water with light current around Kicker Rock. If you don't know how to swim or feel unsure in open water, tell us when booking, flotation assistance can be arranged, and you'll confirm this on the mandatory declaration before payment.
What certification do I need for scuba diving?+
A valid PADI, NAUI or equivalent open-water certification card is required for the diving formula. Please bring your physical or digital certification card on the day of the excursion.
What happens if the weather or sea conditions are poor?+
Samuel and the crew monitor ocean and weather conditions closely, and Galápagos National Park regulations set additional safety limits. If conditions require rescheduling, we'll contact you directly to arrange an alternative date wherever possible.
What is your cancellation and refund policy?+
Full payment is required at the time of booking, and all bookings are final: we do not offer refunds, partial payments, or payment plans once a reservation is confirmed. Because our boat has limited capacity and each seat is reserved in advance, a cancelled seat can't always be resold to another traveler. If bad weather or Galápagos National Park regulations force a reschedule, we'll work with you directly to move your excursion to another available date.
What should I bring?+
Swimwear, a towel, reef-safe sunscreen, a hat, and water are recommended. Wetsuits and core snorkeling or diving equipment are provided. Bring your certification card if you're diving.
How does payment work?+
Kicker Rock and the Highland Tour are booked and paid online, in USD: with PayPal directly on the booking page, or by bank card, bank transfer or a local payment method on our secure checkout. Española and Punta Pitt are organised on request: send us your preferred date and we confirm availability with a personalised quote before any payment.
What languages do the guides speak?+
Contact us directly to confirm language availability for your excursion date so we can plan accordingly.
How many people join each outing?+
Group size is kept intentionally limited to preserve a personal, high-quality experience and to respect Galápagos National Park visitor regulations. Contact us for the exact capacity on your date.
